Europe is under enormous pressure. Expensive energy, crippling bureaucracy, and meagre growth are one thing. International crises, heated competition between locations, and threats to democracy and freedom are other matters. The to-do list for the new EU legislative period is long and complex. Strong companies are needed to overcome the challenges. They manage the transformation and ensure employment, innovation and competition.
BDI’s appeal is, therefore, to #PowerUpEurope with a new European growth plan. Only with a political agenda focusing on economic strength will Europeans be able to assert themselves in global competition. They are convinced: More Europe, but right! BDI is committed to this in the election year for the European Parliament.
